Boulder : Nevada

Boulder City is a city on Clark County about 20 miles from the City of Las Vegas. It is the third largest city in Nevada covering a total area of 524.9 km² (202.7 mi²) of which land constitutes 524.8 km² and water 0.1 km². It is home to Hoover Dam and only six miles from Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The community was named for the Boulder Canyon.

With an average temperature of 80 degrees all round the year, Boulder enjoys a warm climate throughout the year. The high desert elevation causes an extreme range of temperature, with the high in the summer often reaching over 100 degrees and the low in the winter around 33 degrees.
