Introduction Nevada is ranked 35th among the 50 states of U.S. Nevada is located in western, mountain west and southwestern region of United States. Nevada was admitted to the U.S union in 1864 as 36th state. The constitution of Nevada provides three branches of government: executive, legislative and judicial. Nevada has a bicameral legislature, which comprises of Senators (upper house) and House of Representatives (lower house). Leader of House and Senate are chosen by the members of the body. The Senators and the House of Representatives are both elected for four-year term. The highest authority in Nevada is of Nevada Supreme. Nevada is one of the states which do not have appellate courts and there are several other lower courts like district courts, municipal court and justice courts also exist. The governor of Nevada is limited by the constitution to two four-year term in office and is elected by election or succession.
